A Letter from Iversoft’s CEO
2020 has been a year of tremendous change and adversity – but also one of community and innovation. As one of the most pivotal historical moments of our generation, during this time, Iversoft has been compelled to reflect on the health and well-being of our business, our people and our community. At Iversoft, we’ve worked tirelessly to meet this time of uncertainty with flexibility, empathy and understanding. We’ve seen several clients experience a massive loss of revenue, resulting in business closures; while others have had to ramp up operations to meet unprecedented demand. All along the way, our incredible team has stood firmly in our support of each and every one of them, doing our best to provide guidance and counsel in any way.
As we begin to look to the future, we’ve taken the time to self-reflect and honestly assess where Iversoft brings the most value to our clients, our partners, our people and their families. With this clearly in view, we’ve committed to making several changes, both internally and externally, at Iversoft. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, we made the decision to take our company fully remote as of March 15th. At the time, this was a proactive measure to ensure the safety of our staff and our community, which has always been our top priority. Since then, our team has adapted incredibly well to the remote world: we’ve found new and exciting (and creative) ways to build culture virtually, to allow for more flexible schedules (to support family and personal time), and we’ve even added new team members from across the country for the very first time.
Today, we commit to staying remote for the remainder of 2020. We plan to take the rest of the year to re-evaluate, as a team, what the future looks like for our workplace. What do we genuinely need in terms of space and flexibility? Where can we best invest our resources to create a culture based on diversity and inclusion? How do we maintain our emphasis on high-quality deliverables while ensuring a genuine and optimal work-life balance? How do we best support the people in our community where it matters most? We’ve also learned a lot about ourselves in our ten years of operations. We understand what Iversoft is truly exceptional at, and we know where we benefit most, by leveraging our incredible partnerships. To this end, we’ve also made the strategic decision to focus in on our core strengths in Product Strategy, Mobile App and Web Development going forward.
Despite the fact that 2020 has had a tumultuous start, we’re optimistic about the change we’re seeing in the world during such unprecedented times, and we’re proud of the way we are coming together. We’re excited by the opportunities in front of us and we look forward to continuing to work with our incredible clients and partners as we craft the future of digital technology together. We commit to continue to be one of Ottawa’s top employers, delivering exceptional products to our clients, across numerous industries and around the globe.
