The Challenge

A retail operations platform used to manage store locations, communications, and brand standards was under pressure to incorporate AI into its workflows.

One of the most time-sensitive bottlenecks for their customers was managers manually reviewing photos of in-store product displays and providing feedback to ensure they matched brand standards. This process was manual, inconsistent, and often too slow to be actionable across large brands with many store locations.

Our client needed a way to apply AI meaningfully, without disrupting existing workflows or introducing unnecessary risk into a production system.

We began by rapidly developing a lightweight prototype using AI, allowing the team to validate the use case and demonstrate value in a short timeframe.

After validation and planning, the feature was developed and integrated into the existing system quickly (within a two-week development sprint), with a controlled rollout using feature flags.
