Iversofts' interview process is fully remote

Applying to a job is exciting — and often scary. At Iversoft, we think about interviews differently. We want our candidate journey to be a unique and empowering experience — which is why we’ve prepared this step-by-step guide to our interview process.

If you’re thinking of applying to a role at Iversoft, welcome! In this article, you’ll find everything you need to know about the application and interview process.

How Iversoft’s Values Impact Our Hiring

Our values play a huge role in how we’ve structured our hiring process, starting with the way we empower people. Throughout your journey as a job candidate, we’ll provide you with a resource toolkit to help you complete each step of the interview process. We’ve also created a 7-day feedback policy, so you’ll know the exact status of your application week-over-week, even if you aren’t selected for the role.

We’ve created a standardized process for all job opportunities at Iversoft — meaning you’ll have clear insight into the next steps of the hiring process, no matter which stage you’ve just completed.

Each Job Starts with an Application

Job posts at Iversoft have unique, built-in application questions related to the role. These questions are meant to get you excited about the job you’re applying to. They also give you a chance to tell us more about what makes you awesome. Each job application form is uniquely tailored to the opportunity. These questions are a key factor in our process, so we strongly encourage you to read and answer each question carefully before submitting your application.

An Invitation to a Screening Call

Within 7 business days after you submit your application, you’ll receive an email response from a member of our HR team. We recognize that your time is valuable, and we won’t keep you waiting. If you’re selected for a screening call, you’ll also receive an invitation via Calendly to book a video call with our in-house recruiter, Jill. Our scheduling is quite flexible, so you can book your call for the time that works best for you. Most calls take place sometime between Monday Thursday from 10:00 am7:00 pm EST.

On the Day of Your Screening Call

The day before your scheduled screening call, you’ll receive an email from our recruiter confirming your call. We’ll let you know ahead of time what to expect and send you additional information about the company. This casual call is an opportunity for us to learn more about each other. We’ll use this time to answer your questions about Iversoft, provide additional information about the role, and learn more about you. Screening calls usually last between 2530 minutes. Be prepared to chat about your past experience and any additional skills related to the job description that may not be demonstrated on your resume.

Get Ready for a Skills Challenge

If your application advances past the screening call, a member of our HR team will email you a skills challenge shortly afterward. The screening call is our version of a virtual icebreaker, and the skills challenge is a fun opportunity for you to show off your skills!

The skills challenge is a speedy assessment that gauges your hands-on fit for the role. Because creativity and innovation are important to us, we don’t use a fixed rubric or grading system. We offer you the freedom to create something you are truly proud of and excited to share! We know interview jitters are a very real thing, so we’ve also removed time limits from each assessment and welcome your feedback about the experience. For coding challenges, Iversoft has partnered with Codility to create the best candidate experience. You can learn more about Codility on  their FAQ page.

Once you’ve submitted your skills challenge, it will be reviewed and sent to HR with feedback. We try our best to emphasize the importance of our 7-day feedback policy across all hiring channels. If it happens to take a little longer, HR will send you a quick email to check-in and let you know we’re still thinking about you.

The Job Fit Interview

This stage of our hiring process is designed to review your past experience and career goals. During the Job Fit interview, you’ll be asked some situational questions based on the skills we’re looking for in the right candidate. You’ll also get a chance to meet the hiring manager. We recommend taking some extra time before your interview to learn about the STAR Interview Method

Interviews are conducted via video call and typically last between 60-90 minutes. As always, we offer flexible scheduling, so you can choose the date and time that’s best for you.

The Offer

If you’re about to receive an offer from Iversoft, congratulations! In the early stages of an offer, a member of our HR team will reach out to you via email to book a final video call. We like to take a few extra steps to ensure you’re fully informed. We’ll provide more information about the role, the team you’ll be working with, and further information about Iversoft. We’ll also answer any additional questions you have and walk you through the next steps, which include an email offer letter and a detailed employment agreement sent via Docusign.

At Iversoft, we want to create a memorable, impactful, and positive hiring experience. So we’d love your feedback. We’ll send a follow-up email after you’ve completed the interview process. This is your chance to let us know how we’re doing! There’s no obligation to complete our feedback survey, but your responses genuinely help us continue to make decisions prioritizing each candidate's unique needs and experiences.

This is the first in a series of pieces designed to help you make the most of your candidate journey. We recommend checking out the other articles for a complete, in-depth look at our hiring process.
